Fishing Guide in Boston
Boston Harbor and the surrounding Massachusetts Bay waters offer world-class Striped Bass, Bluefish, and Tuna fishing right from the city.
Fishing Boston
Fishing out of Boston proper gives you the full range of options. Boston Harbor itself holds Striped Bass year-round in the right seasons, with the spring migration starting in late April and the fall run bringing bigger fish through September and October. The harbor has diverse structure - islands, channels, points, and the mussel beds that bass key on. Bluefish show up reliably in summer, often in large schools that create surface chaos you can hear from shore. The real advantage of Boston is the access to offshore waters for Tuna. While bass and bluefish can be caught in the harbor and nearshore, tuna require running to the deeper waters of Massachusetts Bay and beyond - and Boston gives you the shortest run to that kind of water. Late summer through early fall is prime tuna season, and a full day trip from Boston can put you on chunky bluefin or yellowfin in waters that aren't far from the dock. For our target species, Boston offers the most versatility - inshore bass and bluefish action plus the ability to run for tuna when conditions are right.
