How July fished

We spent the month engaged in dedicated sport fishing on the water. The effort put in yielded a good mix of action for our anglers. There were days that certainly kept us on our toes, with a variety of species showing up throughout the day. We saw fish come over the rails on many occasions, a testament to the hard work.

The fishing experience varied from day to day, with some outings demanding more work than others. It was rewarding to see the variety of fish that came to the boat after a solid effort. The latter part of the month proved to be a stronger period for the fishing, offering more consistent opportunities.

Conditions played a role in how the days unfolded. Some days offered calm conditions, making for a pleasant return at sunset. Other days were more about the hardcore pursuit, requiring us to really stay engaged. Regardless of the specific conditions, the focus was on putting in the work and enjoying the sport.

What August looks like on Boston

This is our best offshore stretch of the year. Tuna are pushing hard on the canyon edges and the local grounds, and we run long days chasing them when the weather lines up. Inshore stays loaded too, with bluefish still ripping and sea bass and scup holding steady on the reefs.
